Sustainability is a part of our vision

At Bondy we see sustainability as important, and necessary in relation to the growth path we want to follow. We have therefore chosen to work proactively with implementing sustainability within our business. We have done this by implementing internal initiatives and by collaborating with customers and incorporate sustainability into all phases of a collaboration. We help customers reducing their energy consumption, by optimizing energy in their production and choosing the right energy-saving components, as well as choosing the most sustainable shipping method.

For our work with sustainability, we have been awarded a gold medal from EcoVadis – a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment platform, that ranks companies based on environmental responsibility, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. We are proud but for from the target line and therefore we continuously work on incorporating sustainability into our business strategy and our vision for the future.

Goals for Sustainable Development

We have set specific sustainable goals for 2030, which are based on UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We have chosen to work with the SDGs, that we believe we have the most significant impact on.

We help companies find innovative, and where possible, sustainable solutions and thereby promote Goal 9 by helping Danish industrial companies to achieve success and help to strengthen the Danish industry.

Our goal for 2030: 100% of our sales must contribute positively to one or more of the SDGs.

Goal 8 and 12 are closely related to our business vision and commitment to help develop a sustainable society – both locally and globally. We strive for good working conditions and responsible production in our supply chain. This is only possible due to our good cooperation with our suppliers, who for instance need to sign our Supplier Code of Conduct (CoC) and conduct our Supplier Assessments.

Our goal for 2030: 100% of our purchase must be evaluated through CoC.

We leave the most footprints on the climate through our transport, which are internal driving and freight of goods – to and from Bondy. By starting to set some goals to reduce our carbon emissions, we can have a more positive impact on Goal 13.

Our goal for 2030: 50% of our cars must be electrical | 50% of our shipping must be shipped with green fuel

Even for customers who have not even started yet, we want to encourage and support to incorporate sustainability into their business. Amongst others, we help with guidance and solutions to how customers can reduce their energy consumption, by optimizing energy in their production and choosing the right energy-saving components.

We wish to form partnerships with customers and suppliers who also have the same vision for a sustainability industry as us – in this connection we have set a goal that 100% of our sales must contribute positively to one or more of the SDGs by 2030.

We build strong and sustainable partnerships in our value chain

We want to look after our employees and internally we strive for good business ethics and a healthy and safe work environment, in accordance with our parent company’s, Addtech, Code of Conduct (CoC). Any actions that are against the CoC can be reported anonymously by anybody, through our Whistle-blower function.

Moreover, we continuously work on building strong partnerships with our suppliers and on ensuring good working conditions and responsible production throughout all our supply chain. It is important for us to have a transparent supply chain, where documentation and certification is in place, so it is safe for our customers to do business with us. We therefore also work on a structured supplier follow-up where we expect our suppliers to sign our Supplier CoC and conduct our supplier assessments. We have set the goal that 100% of our purchase must be from suppliers who are evaluated through our CoC by 2030.

We want to reduce our footprints on the climate

Many companies have set ambitious climate targets to reduce their own carbon emissions and emissions in their value chain. At Bondy we have implemented some sustainable measures and set goals for reducing our footprints on the climate.

Some of the measures that we have implemented are to replace lightning in our facilities with LED light bulbs and we cover 100% of our energy consumption with certificates from renewable energy. Moreover, we recycle 30% percent of cardboard boxes and 100% of box filling, that we receive from our suppliers, and we only buy biodegradable filling for small packaging.

Every year we report our sustainability figures, including carbon emission data, that is audited by third parties. Our data shows that our biggest footprint on the climate comes from internal driving and shipping of goods. Therefore, we have set up electrical car charging stations and set the goal that 50% of our cars must run on electricity by 2030. Also, in relation to business trips, the emission perspective must be considered and preferably with the most climate-friendly option, where possible.

Regarding shipping, we try to reduce our footprints on the climate by offering customers alternative freight options, optimising our stock of goods and purchase processes – and avoid shipping by air where possible. With the technology and infrastructure available today, we cannot offer our customers to ship with green fuel, but we aim to have the technology available soon, so that our customers can have goods shipped in a sustainable way. Thus, we have set a goal that 50% of our shipping must be shipped with green fuel by 2030.

Status 2022: 14% of our cars are electrical

Goal 2030: 50% of our cars are electrical

Status 2022: 0% of our shipping is shipped with green fuel

Goal 2030: 50% of our shipping is shipped with green fuel

For our work with sustainability, we have been awarded a gold medal in 2022 and 2023 from EcoVadis – a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment platform, that ranks companies based on environmental responsibility, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This score places Bondy among the top 4 percentage of companies assessed by EcoVadis.

We are proud but for from the target line and therefore we continuously work on incorporating sustainability into our business strategy and our vision for the future.

By helping the industry, we affect the 3 parameters that must go hand in hand in order for the world to set on a course toward a more sustainable future.
